Fekla Kazanina was born in 1924, worked throughout the war as a volunteer nurse from 1941 to 1945 in a military hospital . Awarded the medal For Valiant Labor in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. After the war, in 1947, she came to Sakhalin and began to work as a nurse in a village hospital. She had worked there for more than 40 years.
