Alexey Frolov volunteered for the front in November 1942. Participated for six days in the Battle of Stalingrad. He returned home in January 1943 after being wounded, but he went to the front again in October 1943, and got to the 1st Belorussian Front. He fought from Kharkov to Potsdam, participated in the liberation of the cities of Bobruisk, Minsk, and Gomel. In the fighting, he received tree wounds, one of them during the libiration of prisoners of war in Bobruisk. He was discharged after being wounded in 1946.
