Comrade Afonin N.I. at the front since 27.06.1941. He participated in many battles as an ordinary soldier and received three wounds, one of which was severe, he received in the battles for the defense of Moscow in the Mozhaisk area in November 1941. The second was lightweight,received in battles in August 1943 and the third on 26.10.1943 in battle when crossing the river Pronya, where he commanded a rifle platoon. Comrade Afonin works and fulfills orders conscientiously,he is disciplined and decisive in battle.
