Semyon Nikolaevich Ivanov (left) Born in the village of Mari Chodrayal, Kuzhenersky District, Mari Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. He went through the Great Patriotic War as a driver of a car and an armored personnel carrier with the rank of corporal. He served in an anti-tank battalion (Separate anti-aircraft artillery air defense battalion), took out guns and wounded from the battlefield. He was surrounded, was wounded, seriously shell-shocked. After the hospitals, he again joined the ranks of the Soviet Army. He photographed a lot at the front. He ended the Great Patriotic War with the capture of Koenigsberg.
