Vasily Vasilyevich Vavilin (born 1915) Participated in the war with Germany as part of the 96th Heavy Howitzer Artillery Brigade of the Leningrad Red Banner Order of Kutuzov, which was formed on 09.04.1943 in the Amur Region at the station Srednebelaya. Participated in the battles near Leningrad, operations on the 2nd Belarusian Front. He finished the war with the rank of captain, chief of artillery equipment. He was awarded two Orders of the Red Star, the Order of the Patriotic War II class, the Order of the Red Banner, medals "For Military Merit", "For the Defense of Leningrad", "For the Capture of Konigsberg", "For Victory over Germany", "For Victory over Japan".
