Rezekne region, Latvia. Drafted into service on August 3, 1944 by the Abren regional military commissariat. From August 1944 to January 1945 he served in 225 ZRP, submachine gunner, from January 1945 to May 1945 - 25th tank regiment - submachine gunner. Transferred to the reserve on March 13, 1950 with the rank of junior sergeant. For participation in WWII he was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War 2 tbsp.
