Alexander Uklyudov (1924-2014) was born in the village of Kochkurovo, Sergach District. Called up to the Red Army in 1943, he served in the Far East, on the border with Japan. A year later, he was sent to the Baltic States. He was seriously wounded twice. He was awarded numerous medals and the Order of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree. After the end of the war, he served in Chukotka, guarding our borders.
