Tsupin Vasily Matveevich (1925-1961). He volunteered for the front, attributing to himself a few extra years. He fought near Moscow in the village of Belaya Tserkov. He was captured by the Germans, but fortunately managed to escape. After his escape he continued to fight. In 1947 he returned home to the village of Uspenka, Altai Territory.
