Viktor Yudin, (July 12, 1923-1985), senior lieutenant, commander of a rifle platoon of the 194th Tashkent Red Banner Infantry Regiment. Hero of the Soviet Union (06/29/1945). He showed heroism and courage, performing a combat mission: to force the Oder, capture a bridgehead on the western bank and hold it until other units cross. In the battle he was seriously wounded. After the war, the Hero took part in the restoration of the Dnepr Hydro-Electric Power Station
