Order of the Patriotic war

From our family, three people participated in the war, among them: my grandfather was tortured to death in a concentration camp in the Krasnodar Territory, my uncle was drafted in 1940, he served in the city of Lodz. Part of it was located three kilometers from the border and in the first minutes of the war, he died for his homeland. And the third participant in this war was my dad. He returned from the war as a disabled person of the second group. Father was drafted into the army when Pyatigorsk was liberated. From here the hard soldier's path began. He took part in the liberation of Ukraine, Poland, East Prussia. By profession, he was a regimental sapper. This case was in Poland. The command gave the assignment, to take "tongue" before the general offensive of our troops. All types of army reconnaissance began, as they say, the hunt for "tongue". Here is a group in which dad took part went on reconnaissance and for a long time could not take the language "Moving towards the enemy's defenses, they cleared the minefield, where they caught their dawn. They went about 200 meters away from the enemy front line, and found a German house during the retreat. it was already on the eighth day when they managed to take "the tongue" with a fight. For this feat, my dad was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd degree. After the general offensive, our troops overcame the enemy defenses, liberated Poland and began to advance towards East Prussia. Moving forward, our troops however, had losses. Prussia was already a fascist territory. Our soldiers fought fiercely for every meter of this land. The Germans were strongly defended here, as they felt that they would end. Liberating the territory from the enemy, the troops crossed the Oder River, and having captured the city of Ollau, our troops successfully advanced forward. After walking two hundred kilometers from this city, on February 15, 1945, my dad was seriously wounded. He lost his leg while clearing a minefield. They cleared this field for further advance of our troops forward. On this day, my dad at the age of nineteen remained disabled for the rest of his life. Due to this serious injury, he was treated in hospitals for 27 months. During the period of his battle, he received government awards. 1. Order of the Patriotic War of the first and second degree. 2.Medal "For Victory over Germany" 3.Medal "50 years of the Armed Forces of the USSR" 4.Medal "20 years of Victory" 5.Medal "25 years of Victory" 6.Medal "For Valorous Labor" 7.Order of Glory, second and third degree 8. Order of the Red Star and many more medals. I am writing on behalf of my father: I, as a defender of my Motherland, wish the young generation a peaceful and happy life, so that there would be no horrors of war on their way of life. I wish all the young generation to live merrily and joyfully under the clear sky of the Motherland.

Telitsyn Vasily Papovich, born December 13, 1909, a native of the Sunsky district. 06/23/1941 (on the second day of the war) was drafted into the Red Army with a car (he worked as a driver in the RaiPO(Disrtict Consumer Society). He fought in the Leningrad area near the city of Narva. Then, on the Volkhov front, he took part in the crossing of Lake Ladoga. He performed the tasks of covering the immediate approaches to Leningrad and preventing its capture by the enemy. On April 2, 1942, he was seriously wounded and contused. From the field hospital by plane from the encirclement transferred to the rear hospital. After long-term treatment, he was sent to serve in Riga, where he celebrated Victory Day over Nazi Germany (by chance that day in Riga he met his brother Mikhail, also a front-line soldier). Then he was transferred to Mongolia, where he participated in battles as part of the troops of the Trans-Baikal Front. He celebrated the Victory Day over Japan in Mukden (China). He returned home in December 1945. He was awarded the Order of the Red Star, the Medal for Military Merit, the Order of the Patriotic War, and numerous medals. From the speech of V.P. Telitsyn. at a rally in the village of Suna in honor of the Victory over Nazi Germany (70s): “I was taken into the army on the second day of the war, along with a car. At that time, I worked as a driver in the Sunsky regional consumer union. Among others, I was sent to the Leningrad direction near the city of Narva. I had to experience the bitterness of retreat (left Tikhvin, Volkhov). They retreated along the Gulf of Finland and Lake Ladoga. They retreated with battles, defended themselves. However, the fascists at that time were stronger than us. In 1942 we were transferred to the rear to replenish personnel and receive new equipment. After formation, our unit was sent to the Volkhov front in the Second Shock Army, commanded by the traitor to the Motherland, General Vlasov. We, rank-and-file soldiers, as well as officers, did not know about this betrayal. They fought heroically and bravely with the Nazis. The second shock was surrounded by German fascist troops. The ring was broken several times, but the Germans surrounded us again. We suffered heavy losses, but many Germans were killed. We were short of ammunition and food. We were given the task to break through the encirclement and deliver cartridges, shells and food to the encircled. Under constant mortar fire and bombing, we still managed to break through in several vehicles. We were loaded with the necessary load, and we drove back. But the ring had already closed again. There were swamps all around, the only road we drove along was constantly bombarded. We got into a zone of massive fire. It was April 2, 1942. I was wounded in the right arm and leg, and I was concussed. I lost consciousness, then came to my senses. Mines exploded all around. I managed to start the car and took it out of the firing zone. The whole car was pierced by shrapnel, but the engine was unharmed. The rest of the vehicles also managed to break through and the necessary cargo was delivered to our military unit. It was a very difficult time for our Second Shock Army. The encirclement ring was shrinking every day. I was placed in a field hospital (surrounded) at the Rogavka station (registration in the fields: Novgorod region, 140 km from St. Petersburg, hospital No. 2538). He lay there for 30 days, as there was no way to transport them across the front line from the encirclement. All the same, the plane landed and we, seriously wounded, were taken to the rear hospital. After a long treatment, I was sent to another military unit. He met the victory over fascist Germany in Riga. On this day, I accidentally met my brother, also a participant in the Great Patriotic War. Soon our unit was sent to Russia, and from there to Mongolia. I took part in battles to defend Leningrad, Estonia and in battles as part of the Trans-Baikal Front. Celebrated the Victory Day over Germany in Riga. Victory Day over Japan was celebrated in China, in the city of Mukden. He was demobilized in December 1945. Allow me, dear war veterans, all participants of the meeting, to congratulate you on the Victory Day, to wish you good health, success in your affairs and eternal peace time.

Marian Slovachevsky (1910 - early 2000s). My grandmother's cousin. Order of the Patriotic War 2nd degree. Deputy Commander of group three of the underground sabotage organization "Patriot" of the Nikolaev Region, Ukrainian SSR. The group consisted of about 30 guerrillas, underground fighters of Nikolaev Region. The groups were managed by Fyodor Klyuyevsky and his Deputy, a resident of the village of Kiselevka, Maryan Slovachevsky through leaders of groups of 3-5 fighters. Fyodor and Maryan were well aware that there could be no partisan mobile detachments, as in the civil war, in our steppe region. Therefore, they organized underground work in a different way. They equipped radio stations in Nikolaev, at the station Greigovo and in the village of Kiselevka for listening to "sovinformbyuro", conducted more than 800 sessions of radio posts, distributed about 4 thousand leaflets. They got their people to work for the occupiers: on railway transport, military facilities, in agriculture (in the leadership of the Regional administration of German state property, in the farms of Zhovtnevy, Snigerevsky, Bashtansky Districts). In the autumn of 1942, in the spring and autumn of 1943, the fighters of Klyuyevsky, by artificially infecting livestock with foot-and-mouth disease, disrupted the invaders' campaign of mass slaughter and theft of cattle. In addition, underground fighters conducted reconnaissance work of defensive structures on the outskirts of Nikolaev, released about 200 prisoners sent by the Nazis to Germany, and about 75 prisoners of war from the concentration camps "Temvod" and "Vodokachka" and transit trains. The liberated were transported to the Znamenskiy forests in the Kirovograd Region, to the partisans. They collected weapons and ammunition, arranged caches for their storage, prepared people for armed actions against the invaders when the front was approaching. From April 1942, Fyodor Klyuyevsky became the leader of group 3 of the underground sabotage organization "Patriot". They successfully implemented their actions from September 1941 to March 28, 1944. During this time, they destroyed about 60 enemy soldiers and officers, 1 locomotive, 14 wagons and platforms, 4 tanks, 3 Ferdinands ,2 wagons of shells, 35 tons of fuel, 2 aircraft, a battery building, 1 armored personnel carrier, 2 cars, 1 fuel tanker, 2 motorcycles, as well as about 50 wagons of agricultural products, 12 kilometers of railway, etc. Underground fighters constantly kept in touch with the Headquarters of the partisan movement of the 3rd and 4th Ukrainian Fronts and the underground resistance of the city of Nikolaev. From January 1942 to December 1943, the intelligence information collected by the group about the Nazis was transmitted behind the front line through the partisan detachments of the Znamenskiy forests. In the first days of November 1943, Stanislav Grinkevich, Peter Zubovich, and Marjan Slovachevsky derailed the military echelon of the Nazis on the Zaselje-Novopetrovka stage. Train traffic was suspended for 2 days. On March 1, 1944, Mikhail Shevchenko, a demolition man of the 3rd Ukrainian Front from the special group of captain Ivan Grishin, arrived to Fyodor Klyuyevsky at the Greigovo station. He arrived to perform a special task, but the unexpected happened — the head of the operation, Ivan Grishin, disappeared. After an unsuccessful search for him, on March 5, Fyodor Klyuyevsky began preparing his group for the task of the command of the 3rd Ukrainian Front. Maryan Slovachevsky, Stanislav Grinkevich, Semyon Lyakin, Pavel Zinkevich, using the technology of the Shevchenko bomber, completed the task of the command on March 12, 1944. It consisted of disabling the railway section of the Nikolaev-Zaselye route. An armored personnel carrier, which was going ahead of two railway trains accompanied by an armored train to Snigirevka, was blown up by two anti-tank mines and two artillery shells three kilometers from the station Zaselye. In the morning, our planes bombed the trains. Romanians and fascists could not escape by train from Snigirevka to the defensive lines around Nikolaev. What Grishin's special group had to do together with T. Morozov's organization was done by the sabotage and intelligence group #3 "Patriot", under the leadership of Fyodor Klyuyevsky. Group #3 - "Patriot" participated in detection and capture of 22 executioners of Nikolaev Rigeon, five of whom on January 12, 1946 were hanged on the gallows established by them opposite the house #36 on Soviet Street. The headquarters of the Partisan Movement of the 3rd Ukrainian Front recognized Fyodor Klyuyevsky as an active underground fighter, and the State Security Committee of the Soviet Union (KGB) as an experienced intelligence officer. His experience was used for training young officers in the years of the Great Patriotic War. Maryan Slovachevsky - honorary citizen of the city of Nikolaev. For a long time headed the Department of education of the Nikolaev District. He died in the early 2000s.

Anatoly Tantsyrev was born in 1907 at the Khilok station in the Petrovsko-Zavodsky District of the Trans-Baikal territory, in the family of a railway worker. His father was Peter Tantsyrev, a heating engineer. Mother – Maria, by profession a primary school teacher. Anatoly was the third child in the family. There were four of them, three brothers and a sister: Andrey, Arkadiy, Anatoliy and Galina. Parents taught their children to work early. The mother was often ill, and the children had to clean the house themselves, cook, work on the farm, and milk the cow. The children had everything: skis, skates, a boat, hunting rifles, musical instruments. My great-grandfather played mandolin in a string orchestra in his youth, my sister played piano, and my brother Arkadiy tuned the piano. The children were allowed to play everything except wind instruments, due to the fact that the brass players were often invited to ritual events that ended with a stormy feast. Thanks to this upbringing, none of the members of this family abused alcohol, and the great-grandfather did not take a drop of alcohol in his mouth for whole his life. Even in the years of war at the front he replaced hundred grams of alcohol with chocolate. His parents were not members of the Communist party, but had progressive views. A circle of social Democrats was gathering in their apartment. Peter taught mathematics at night school on a voluntary basis. They had a large house in Ulan-Ude, and part of the house was rented out to tenants. The Mladov brothers, who were exiled from Central Russia for their democratic views, lived with them. One of them, Alexander, was a doctor, and the other, Grigoriy, was a writer, at the Ulan–Ude school he taught literature. In his spare time, he led a literary club, where he taught children to write poetry. Together they published a literary newspaper with the works of the club members. As a children's writer, Grigory Mladov, who wrote under the pseudonym Eugene Korablev, wrote the story "Four and Krak", the prototypes of which were the children of the Tantsyrev family, one copy of which is now stored in the Fundamental Library of the State University of Irkutsk. The daughter of Alexander's second brother was Tatyana Mladova, a biologist and researcher at the Limnological Institute on lake Baikal, with whom my great-grandfather corresponded for the rest of his life. In the 1930s, the family of the revolutionary Postyshev lived in the Tantsyrev apartment. Pavel himself rarely appeared, but his wife and son Lenya lived there. After they left, the Tantsyrevs corresponded for a long time with Postyshev's wife, Tatyana, but when the Postyshev family began to be harassed by the authorities, Tatyana stopped correspondence in order not to harm the Tantsyrev family. Anatoly maternal cousin, Yevgenia Cheremnykh, was the niece of the founder of the "Okna ROSTA"(a series of posters created by Soviet poets and artists who worked in the system of the Russian Telegraph Agency (ROSTA)) Mikhail Cheremnykh, who later worked with Vladimir Mayakovsky. Anatoly Petrovich received his secondary education in Ulan-Ude. He entered the Tomsk Polytechnic Technical School, where he received an education as a zoo technician - pig breeder. His future wife Ekaterina Ivanenko studied at the same institution, where he met her. After graduating from the technical school, they were assigned as zoo technicians to the Byronovskiy State Farm in the Taishet District of the Irkutsk Region, where they got married in 1936. However, they did not work there for long time. After a while, they moved to a state farm near Ulan-Ude, which was located in a very good location, not far from the railway. They lived there quite a bit, because the state farm was transformed into a collective farm, and they did not want to work on the collective farm. They moved to Nizhneudinskiy District. In 1937, the arrests began. The chief zoo technician of the state farm was arrested. My great-grandfather was ordered to start to work in this position. But he did not want to take the place of a repressed person and asked the regional authorities to transfer him to the Usolskiy State Farm, where he was repeatedly invited by the first Director of the farm, Luka Gorlov. Here he began to work as a chief zoo technician and his wife as a zoo technician on a farm. On June 22, 1941, the Great Patriotic War began, and on the 23rd, he was drafted into the Red Army. Prior to this time, he was relieved from service as an agricultural specialist. My great-grandmother was left with three small children and an old sick mother to perform her duties at the state farm. They did not even have time to say goodbye. All the women around them wept as they saw their husbands off to war, and Ekaterina was forced to accept the zoo technician's business in a hurry, to receive his instructions for the work. Anatoly trained in the Chita Region, because he did not serve in the army before as an agricultural specialist. His military path began on the Don Front at Stalingrad in June 1942, then fought on the Steppe Front, the 703rd Rifle Regiment of the 233rd Kremenchug Rifle Division of the Second Ukrainian Front and ended the war on the Third Ukrainian Front, which reached Vienna. He participated in the battle of Orel-Kursk, crossing the Danube, the liberation of Kharkov and Poltava, in the defense of Stalingrad, took part in the liberation of Bulgaria, Romania, and Yugoslavia. He saw the German field Marshal Paulus, when he and his army surrendered in 1943. During the liberation of Romania, in Bucharest, one of the soldiers, passing by the Palace of King Mihai, knocked on the gate. Mihai was informed of their arrival and invited the soldiers, including Anatoly to enter. King Mihai talked to them, and throughout the conversation was very surprised that the Russian soldier did not drink alcohol. Preserved book of the Red Army soldier Anatoly Tantsyrev records that from July 17, 1942 to August 12, 1942, he fought on the Don Front, and then was in captivity, from November 20, 1942 to February 7, 1943 again on the Don Front, then the Steppe Front, the Second Ukrainian Front, in 1943 and 1944, he was twice shell-shocked. Anatoly ended the war with the 3d Ukrainian front in Austria on May 16, 1945. Only in the fall, September 28, 1945, great-grandfather returned home. Anatoly hasd military awards: the Medal For the Liberation of Belgrade, the Medal For Courage, the Medal For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945, the Medal For the Defense of Stalingrad, the Order of Glory 3rd degree, the Order of the Great Patriotic War 2nd degree, and many commemorative medals. Anatoly was awarded "Certificates of Gratitude" – for crossing the Danube, for the liberation of Poltava, Kremenchug, Zvenigorodka, Shpola, Smely, Boguslav, Kanev, Belgrade, Znamenka. All his awards, as a relic, are still kept in our family. His wife Catherine Tantsereva during the war was not at the front, but worked in the rear. She worked at the state farm as a zoo technician, replacing her husband. At the end of the war, she was awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor, commemorative medals For Valiant Labor During the Great Patriotic War, and in peacetime, she was awarded a ticket to the exhibition of achievements of the national economy. Her mother Anna Ivanenko, who lived with her until the end of her days (helped with the housework, looked after the children, washed, cleaned), in the past had with her husband Luka (he was a cabinetmaker) an Inn in Ust-Medveditsa, where she kept house: washed, cleaned, ironed clothes, made beds, cooked food for guests. All her life she was proud of the fact that when Semyon Budyonny with his cavalry army, passing through Ust-Medveditsa, stopped at their Inn and she herself treated him to food prepared with her own hands. Anatoly's father, Peter Tantsyrev, worked in the rear as a locomotive operator throughout the war. Brother Arkady trained soldiers in the training unit in the city of Chita. Brother Andrey fought on the Eastern front. Sister Galina worked in the Ministry of Forestry throughout the war. Anatoly did not like to talk about the war, and when he watched films about that time, he often cried. After the war, Anatoly continued to work as the chief zoo technician at the Usolskiy State Farm. For his excellent work, he was awarded a ticket for the trip to Moscow at Central Exibition, in which was stated that comrade A. Tantsyrev was invited to Moscow from August 15 to August 19, 1954 at the All-Union Agricultural Exhibition of 1954 as a member of Pressinoukogu Usolsky District of the Irkutsk Region. Anatoly received a small silver medal for achievements in the field of cattle breeding, issued by the Main Committee of the All-Union Agricultural Exhibition. Even at the front, when the troops (and he fought in the infantry) passed through Bulgaria, Romania, he was delighted with the gardens that stretched everywhere. After returning from the front, the following spring of 1946, he planted a garden in his estate, with apples, cherries, raspberries, currants, and began to work on landscaping the village. He planted poplars and acacia trees on the streets, and villagers began to plant berry bushes in their homesteads, which were brought from a nursery located in the Cheremkhovskiy District. In the early 50s, a state farm garden was laid, where raspberries, currants, canadian cherries, yellow plums grew and bore fruit well. For his work in 1955, he received a commemorative medal in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Ivan Michurin for organizing the landscaping of the village. No one else in our region has such a medal. In honor of this event, the street where Anatoly lived was named Michurin street.

On June 22, 1941, the Baranovichi Regional Military Commissariat of the Byelorussian SSR sent my grandfather, Dmitry Troshchenko, to the 10th Army of the Western Front. There, my grandfather, being at that time a purely civilian man, received the title of Political Instructor and the position of Deputy Chief of the Political Department for the Komsomol of the rear units and institutions of the army. Together with the 10th Army, Dmitry escaped the encirclement, participated in the battle of Moscow, and in November 1942 was awarded the Medal For Military Merit as a senior political officer. The formation of the 544th Mortar Regiment within the 10th Army began in December 1942. My grandfather became a party organizer there. The regiment joined the fighting at the end of January 1943 in the Kirov fortified region on the Western Front. In May 1943, after the reform of the Red Army, Dmitry became the Deputy Commander of the Regiment for Political Affairs with the rank of a Captain. In April 1944, the 544th Mortar Regiment was transferred from the subordination of the 10th Army of the Western Front to the Reserve of the Main Command, after which it was constantly used in various combat areas and in different divisions and armies of the 2nd Belorussian Front. Dmitry together with the regiment participated in the operation Bagration, liberated Belarus. In Poland, the regiment took the Osowiec fortress almost without the support of an infantry on August 14, 1944. This fortress was well known from the First World War. For this achievement, the regiment was awarded the honorary title "Osowieckiy" by order of the NKO #0294 of September 1. For the battle on July 9 near the Belarusian village of Leshnitsa, my grandfather was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree in September, although a regimental commander presented him as to the Order of the Red Banner. Later Dmitry participated in the liberation of Poland, in the Konigsberg and Pomeranian operations. At a critical moment in the battle for Polish village Olshany of the Mazovian Voivodeship grandfather took command of the regiment on January 23, 1945 and commanded it until January 29. He was one of the first to cross the border of East Prussia together with infantry. The Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 claimed the lives of millions of citizens of the Soviet Union: men, women, the elderly and children. Based on the decisions of the State Defense Committee (GKO), formed on June 30, 1941, three mass mobilizations of women were held in 1942 alone. The first mobilization, according to the decree of the State Defense Committee of the USSR of March 25, 1942, sent 100,000 Komsomol girls to the country's air defense units to replace Red Army telephone operators, radio operators, air surveillance scouts, anti-aircraft artillery, and other male military positions. On April 3, 1942, according to this decree, girls from the Kudymkarskiy District of the Perm (Molotov) Region, including Nadezhda Abramova, were drafted into the army. For a whole month they traveled in freight train cars to Moscow. The capital met them with darkness and cold. Almost through the entire city, the girls were driven on foot, so that they could not admire the beauty of the capital. They were surprised at the airships that obscured the cloudy sky of the capital and dissolved with the morning dawn. The girls were sent to the city of Serpukhov, 3 km from which the front line passed. On the first night, they experienced a severe bombing. Then the girls were divided into several groups: observers, anti-aircraft gunners, signalers, skiers. She got in a group of observers. Within a month, they completed a crash course. They were taught to identify their own and enemy planes by their appearance, sound, and flight direction and altitude. The training took place in the village of Vozdvizhenka. Then they were sent to observation posts. On each of them three girls were on duty around the clock. The observation posts were located about every 12 km in a squares pattern. The observers had a good telephone connection. The phones were American. The air defense of Moscow was at the proper level, and most of the planes that flew to bomb Moscow did not reach it. They came under heavy anti-aircraft fire, and our planes were constantly on duty in the air. At first, the girls conducted surveillance from observation towers that stood in the field and were clearly visible to the fascist pilots. They bombed these towers, and many girls were killed. Therefore, soon a new decree was issued, and they began to be on duty in shelters on the ground. There was very strict discipline, strict order in their platoon. In the peaceful post–war time, my grandmother maintained warm friendly relations with one of her front-line friends, Nadezhda Rybina, who lived in the city of Mendeleevsk in Tatarstan. All her life, she worked as a German teacher at a school. They corresponded, met, and supported each other, but Nadezhda died in 1966. At the end of the war, she returned to her village and began to work as a Secretary of the Village Council, then as a librarian. Created a new family, married a front-line soldier Peter Savelyev. They had nine children. Throughout her life, Nadezhda had an active life position, from 1956 to the present day she is a member of the CPSU. As a librarian, she worked a lot with people, enjoyed the respect of her fellow villagers. People still come to her for advice. For the last eight years before retiring, she worked as a Secretary of the party organization of the collective farm "Pravda", her work experience is 48 years. She was awarded the medals of motherhood, the Order of the Badge of Honor, as well as medals for participation in the Great Patriotic War.

Alexander Timofeevich Satanin. .....1922 - 19.12.1992 My family has memories of several participants of the Great Patriotic War. One of them was my great-grandfather from my grandfather's side (my father's father) Alexander Satanin. He was born in 1922 in the village of Obval of the Tamalinskiy District of the Penza Region. On the eve of the war, he left for the Sverdlovsk Region to join his brother to study at a technical school. But the destiny has disposed differently. Instead of a technical school, my great-grandfather entered the Cherkassy Infantry School, which during this period was relocated from Ukraine to the city of Sverdlovsk and became the 2nd Sverdlovsk Infantry School. My great-grandfather's studies were short-lived. Soon he got to the front. It was during this period that the most important in the history of the Great Patriotic war battle of Stalingrad began. It took place on the territory of the modern Voronezh, Rostov, Volgograd Regions and the Republic of Kalmykia from July 17, 1942 to February 2, 1943. The German offensive lasted from July 17 to November 18, 1942, its goal was to capture the big bend of the don, the Volga-Don isthmus and Stalingrad (today Volgograd). The implementation of this plan would block transport links between the central regions of the USSR and the Caucasus, and create a springboard for a further offensive to capture the Caucasian oil fields. In July and November, the Red Army managed to force the Germans to be bogged down in defensive battles. In November and January, it encircled German troops as a result of operation Uranus, repeled the deblocking German attack "Wintergevitter" and squeezed the encirclement ring to the ruins of Stalingrad. The encircled group capitulated on February 2, 1943. This victory marked the beginning of a "radical turning point" in the war. According to the number of irretrievable losses (killed, died of wounds in hospitals, missing) of the warring parties, the battle of Stalingrad was one of the bloodiest in the history of mankind: 478,741 people. The number of dead civilians could not be determined even approximately, but the count is no less than tens of thousands. During the battle of Stalingrad, my great-grandfather was seriously wounded. A young Tatar saved him from death by carried him out of the ruins. Then there was a long recovery in a hospital in Saratov. Unfortunately, after that, Alexander could no longer fight, he was sent to the rear and continued to work there. For his services, my great-grandfather was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War 1st degree. Alexandra Satanina 10A MAOU "Lyceum #29" Tambov.

The childhood and youth of Stefan had passed in the village of Ananenkovskoe. At school, he studied diligently and had good grades. In the spring of 1941, he was transferred from 8th to 9th grade, but the outbreak of the war did not allow him to study further. In the first years of war, not upon reaching adulthood, worked hard on the state farm of Apanasenkovskoe, had positive reviews from fellow villagers and the management of the collective farm. In April 1943, at the age of 18, he was called up as a gunner for a 45 mm gun in the 22nd Cavalry Artillery Regiment, which was part of the 2nd Guards Cavalry Corps of the Steppe Military District with a deployment in the area of Kartashevo, Borovoe, Dryazgi of the Lipetsk Region. On July 9, 1943, based on the Directive of the Supreme Command Headquarters, the Steppe Front was formed from the forces of the Steppe Military District in the Kursk Region. Initially, the front's troops were deployed in reserve behind the Central and Voronezh Fronts. The task of the front was to stop the enemy's advance on the occupied line in the event of a breakthrough. Since July 5, 1943 he took part in the battle of Kursk. 28.07.1943, the 2nd Guards Cavalry Corps was transferred to the Bryansk Front. On the night of September 9, 1943 the 2nd Guards cCavalry Corps was assigned the task of reaching Desna, cutting off the enemy's escape routes to the Troitskiy and Vladimirovka crossings, seizing a bridgehead on the West Bank of the river, cutting the Bryansk — Smolensk railway, and holding the bridgehead until the infantry arrived. By noon on September 11, 1943. The 2nd Guards Cavalry Corps, which included the 22nd Cavalry Artillery Regiment, fully completed its combat mission: it crossed the Desna River, captured a bridgehead on the Western Bank of the river that stretched up to eight kilometers along the front and up to five kilometers deep, and cut the Bryansk-Smolensk railway. This brilliant success played an important role in the general course of the battle for Bryansk and Bezhitsa, in the breakthrough of the enemy's defensive line along the Desna River by our troops. During the fighting, when crossing the river Stefan was seriously wounded. He was urgently sent to the evacuation hospital #1601, located in Arkhangelsk, where he was treated until April 1944. After the hospital, in April 1944, Stefan was sent to the 14th Separate Tank Battalion, and in August 1944 he participated in combat operations in the area of the cities of Wengruv, Sokol-Podlaski. At the end of August 1944 however, his previous injury did not allow him to participate in combat operations and Stefan was sent to the evacuation hospital #5135, where he was demobilized for health reasons on September 23, 1944. For bravery, fortitude and courage shown in the fight against the Nazi invaders, Stefan Suchkov was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War 1st degree and the Marshal Zhukov Medal. He died on 16.08.1997 in the village of Divnoye, Apanasenkovskiy District, Stavropol territory.

Rank: Senior Leiutenant _x000D_ Branch: Ground Forces, Air Force (except naval Aviation), Coastal Service, troops People's Commissariat of Internal Affairs, Border Troops _x000D_ Unit: 345th Infantry Division (2 formations) _x000D_ _x000D_ Retired Colonel was born on June 17, 1923 in the village of Polom Kirov region. It was a harsh time, childhood and youth were very hard. His mother Alexandra Andreevna worked in the hospital as a nurse and paramedic. My father worked for hire, harvested charcoal, worked in a kolkhoz. On June 16, 1941, Arkady graduated from high School, and after 5 days the Great Patriotic War began. On July 3, he was drafted into the army and sent to the Aviation mechanics School, then in January 1943 - to the Podolsk infantry School. _x000D_ In March 1943, he was appointed platoon commander in the 52nd Motorcycle Regiment, and later as a company commander. The main missions of the regiment and the motorcyclists of the twenty-year-old company Leiutenant Sychev were actions behind enemy lines, capturing important strong points, routing headquarters, blowing up bridges, reconnaissance of the enemy, creating panic in his rear. Arkady Andreevich participated directly in hostilities for eighteen months. His company successfully operated in September - October 1943 in the Ukraine, in April - May 1944 in the Crimea, in July - October 1944 in Belarus, and later in the Baltic States. _x000D_ The most striking combat episodes with his participation were played out in the most hard conditions of bloody battles for the Left Bank Ukraine, for the left bank of the Dnieper. Since November 1943, the Regiment took part in the battles for the Nikopol foot strong. The Germans strengthened the foot strong and reinforced with troops in order to help their group in the Crimea. These were the hardest battles for A.A. Sychev's company. Only in January 1944 the foot strong was captured and the city of Nikopol was liberated. In the period from November 1943 to January 1944 alone, the company commander survived the death of five of his platoon commanders. _x000D_ As part of the motorcycle regiment A.A. Sychev participated with his company in the heroic assault on the famous Sapun Mountain near Sevastopol. The mountain was a natural barrier on the outskirts of Sevastopol. For several days, persistent efforts were made to take the heavily fortified Sapun Mountain. The main assault was undertaken on May 7, 1944. The fight was very hot. Sychev’s company participated in this assault from beginning to end. Led by their commander, the soldiers showed miracles of heroism. The impregnable Sapun Mountain was taken, which ensured the liberation of Sevastopol and the defeat of the Nazi group in the Crimea. _x000D_ More than once the brave company commander looked death in the face. Here is one of the combat episodes near Bobruisk in July 1944. Sychev’s company burst into the enemy trenches. With a pistol in hand and a cartridge in the chamber, the company commander runs through the trench. Several of his subordinates are behind him. The trench turns 90 degrees. Behind the bend he collides head-on with a German. He has a submachine gun on his chest. He turns the machine gun towards the company officer, who holds the pistol at chest level. The German was two or three meters away from him. Without aiming, Sychev A.A. pulls the trigger. The German falls. The rest of the Germans rushed to run away along the trench and were immediately destroyed by our soldiers. Such episodes occurred more than once or twice at the front. _x000D_ Arkady's military merits were deservedly awarded with many military orders and medals. One of the main events in his life he considers his participation in the historic Victory Parade on Red Square in June 1945. _x000D_ One of the main missions of his work, he considered to educate children, find out what each of them has in their souls, and instill in them love for their homeland. The result of his work was the advanced positions that his Suvorov platoon constantly occupied in study and discipline. He still believes that the most unforgettable and happy years of his service in the army were the time he worked as an educator at the Tambov Suvorov Military School. _x000D_ Despite his mature years, the front-line soldier is still in the ranks. He lives in the city of Korolev, takes an active part in the work of the Council of Veterans of the Tambov Suvorov Military School, the annual meetings of our graduates in Tambov, always calls on us to strengthen the cadet brotherhood. He constantly deals with issues of military-patriotic education of young people, and of the general population. In recent years, he has performed on a volunteer basis in dozens of schools, gymnasiums, boarding schools, work collectives. He teaches lessons in courage. He takes a class, a group, sometimes a whole hall, tells the truth about the war, about the heroism of our soldiers. Arkady Sychev believes that the main engine of longevity is to be in good spirit, be optimistic, keep smiling. Уoung people should be educated on the positive side, then they will be kind, respectful, and true people. _x000D_ Written by Council of Veterans of the Tambov Suvorov Military School.
