After the capture of Sapun Mountain and the liberation of Sevastopol, Yevgamukov's gun crew participated in the destruction of the enemy at Cape Chersonesos. Then he took part in the crossing of the Vistula and the liberation of Poland in January 1945 as the commander of the mortar company 1137 Rostov Rifle Regiment. Sergeant First Class Evgamukov Zalim Kamatovic as a part of the 339th Infantry Division of the Taman Red Banner order of Suvorov Division of the 16th rifle corps of the 33th army participated in the largest Warsaw-Poznan front offensive operation of the troops of the 1st Belorussian front (commander—Marshal of the Soviet Union Georgy Zhukov. The operation was held on 14 January—3 February 1945, as a part of the strategic Vistula-Oder offensive operation). Starting a breakthrough in several sections with a total width of 34 km, the troops of the 1st Belorussian front expanded it along the front to 500 km and advanced to a depth of 500 km by the end of the operation, liberating the entire Western part of Poland in their band. Early in the morning of January 14, 1945, by a surprise attack of advanced battalions from the Magnushevsky and Pulavsky bridgeheads on a front of over 100 km, the troops of the 1st Belorussian front went on the offensive, within an hour they advanced on 2-3 km. The mortar crew under the command of Z. K. Yevgamukov, together with the advancing infantry, participated in the battles at the Pulavsky bridgehead. The fascists fought fiercely. During the breakthrough of the German defense on the West Bank of the Vistula river, Sergeant First Class Yevgamukov destroyed two 81-mm mortars and an enemy machine gun, thereby ensuring the advance of the infantry. During the repulse of the counterattack, ignoring the danger, he moved to the battle lines of the battalion and destroyed 22 German soldiers and officers. He survived, thanks to experienced neurosurgeons, the care of nurse Alexandra (unfortunately, her data is not available in the photo and the search of it was unsuccessful). In the spring of 1947, accompanied by nurse Alexandra, Zalim returned to the North Caucasus. He had paralyzed left half of the body, unintelligible, slow speech and had no ability to move independently, (conclusion of the military medical Commission: "disabled person of group I"). So began the peaceful life of Zalim Kamatovich. Only personal courage, a huge will and a thirst for life, multiplied by daily hard work and high demands on himself allowed the 29-year-old soldier to "return to service".

Rank: Lieutenant-colonel. My great-grandfather, Lieutenant Colonel Dmitry Vasilyevich Yeremeyev was born in 1913. In 1941-1945, he served in Transbaikalia, in the special forces, preparing soldiers for the front. During the Great Patriotic War, 16 divisions were sent from Transbaikalia to the battlefields – about 300 thousand people, more than 2 thousand guns, about 1.5 thousand tanks. In the summer of 1945, three months after the Victory, some of our troops went to the far East – there was the War with an ally of Nazi Germany-with Japan. Japan was very aggressive at the time. But on August 6, 1945, the Americans dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima. At dawn on August 9, the victorious army, which included my great-grandfather, launched an offensive against the nearly one and a half million Kwantung army. The Soviet-Japanese battle lasted a little less than a month. Our command has developed a Grand plan to encircle and capture the enemy. Soon the Japanese troops were defeated, Japan capitulated, and our soldiers went home. My great-grandfather also returned, but not immediately. It was necessary to disarm the enemy. After the War, great-grandfather Dima continued his service. In 1949, he was sent to the Leningrad military district, a special purpose unit. In 1953-1955, he served in Czechoslovakia as an adviser to the chief of Slovak counterintelligence. My great-grandfather has many awards, including the order of the Patriotic War I and II degrees, the order of the red star, the medals "for bravery", "for military merit", "for the victory over Germany", "for the victory over Japan". Every year on May 9, my great-grandfather put on his military uniform and went to the Victory parade with his children and grandchildren. Great-grandfather Dima died in 1993, shortly before the birth of his first great-grandson, who was named Dmitry. Every year on May 9, our family still comes to the Eternal flame to worship fallen soldiers. In memory of great-grandfather Dima, my father and my brother give flowers to veterans who are still alive.

Born on January 25, 1913 in the Kirov region, Oparinsky district. My grandfather, Vasily Firsovich Kokoulin, served in the Workers 'and peasants' Red Army from 1932 to 1935. After leaving the reserve, he graduated from the faculty of LABOR at the Kirov pedagogical Institute (history teacher), worked in a school. He was conscripted into the red army in July 1941. He received his baptism of fire on the Leningrad front in a reconnaissance company. He fought in the army., had the rank of Sergeant. In December 1942, during the defense of Leningrad during a reconnaissance operation on the neutral front line, he was seriously wounded by fragments of an enemy mine. Lost an arm, severe injuries to the leg, chest and abdomen. Until night I lay in the snow (there was a retreat). Only at night, the scouts were able to drag the grandfather to their territory on their greatcoats. He was immediately evacuated to a military hospital in Leningrad. Soon the city was besieged and my grandfather was in besieged Leningrad, undergoing treatment in a hospital. On the "Road of life" through lake Ladoga was evacuated to the "Mainland". During the transition (according to my grandfather's stories), two fascist planes flew into a convoy of ambulances. They flew so low that my grandfather "saw the face of a fascist pilot." Some of the cars were destroyed, their car survived. Having survived a serious injury, hypothermia, hunger, weakness, the grandfather was treated for a long time. he was discharged with a disability. Discharged with the rank of petty officer. After that, he returned home to the Kostroma region, went to work at a school as a history teacher, political worker, and Director of a seven-year school in the Bogovarovsky district of the Kostroma region. Awarded the title "excellent student of national education of the USSR". He was awarded 11 medals and various distinctions. In 1970, he moved to the Crimean region, where he was an active participant in Patriotic education in schools and youth organizations, and the Council of veterans. I'm proud of my grandfather.

My great-grandfather Viktor Karpenko was born in Ukraine on April 18, 1924, in the small town of Krasnograd. When the Second World War began, he was only 17 years old, but he had already graduated from "chauffeur" and started working. The Germans bombed Ukraine and then began to evacuate businesses and people. A young boy drove a truck loaded with machines to the rear and returned for the next consignment. He really wanted to go to the front, but his age did not allow it, they said: "too small yet." To make himself look taller, he put a log on his seat and barely reached the pedals with his socks, but he performed the work not as every adult. He still wanted to go to the front. And then he lowered his new passport into the water, the letters blurred and the grandfather attributed 2 years to himself, so that it would be for sure. I brought the last car with cargo to the rear and ran to the military enlistment office. At that time, they did not really understand all the subtleties, they were suitable for the front by age. So he ended up in the War and began his combat career in the 325th anti-aircraft regiment as a driver. It was not easy for a young boy. My grandfather told me how he brought ammunition to the front line under the terrible fire of enemy artillery. Sometimes the car had to be repaired under fire. It was scary. So the service took place at the wheel until it came under the siege of Leningrad. And the only road for our people was through the frozen lake Ladoga. Then it was called the “Road of life”. And here on this road they carried bread in trucks to the Leningrad blockade. The Germans constantly shelled the lake, you could slip-your happiness. Twice my grandfather drowned in Ladoga, and twice he was saved. Once a car in front was hit by a bomb and the ice began to crack, the car went under the ice. Grandfather managed to jump out of the car on the running Board and began to throw the bags away. The thought was one: "at least how much to save!!» The car began to go under the water and hit him on the ice. It was very scary, but my grandfather said that many people did this, there was no time to be afraid, because they were carrying not just bread - they were carrying the life. My grandfather survived. So he fought, and reached Romania. And in 1944, in the city of Budapest, he was hit by a terrible bombing and was seriously wounded and contused. That's where his war ended. Like everyone else, my great-grandfather lost a lot of friends in the War, but he did not really like to remember it. In this photo, Viktor Karpenko's great-grandfather is in hospital after being injured in Budapest. He was awarded the medal "for military merit", "for the capture of the city of Budapest", "for the victory over Germany", the order of the Patriotic War II degree". My mother told me that my great-grandfather was a very kind and cheerful person, he was always very sympathetic and was respected among all his friends and neighbors. Unfortunately, I have never seen my great-grandfather, but my family keeps a good memory of him. As a witness of the existing history of my country, I would very much like to see the memory of such people preserved not only by my relatives, but also by the memory of the great Victory of the Russian people for centuries to come.

During the years of military service in the active army, Alexander kurnashev had to serve and liberate many cities and countries of the Union republics. On the account of Alexander Petrovich, the struggle for the besieged Stalingrad, the Kursk Bulge, the liberation of the Caucasian republics, the capture of Melitopol in Ukraine, the liberation of Rostov and Donbass, the battle on the banks of the Dnieper river. For military services, Alexander Petrovich was awarded the order of the Patriotic War, 2nd class, and the medal "for the victory over Germany". Our veteran was born on September 12, 1923 in the village of Chuvarleika. After graduating from a 2-class school at the age of 14, he began working on the Gorky railway. When the War began, he was sent to build the Gorky highway. As an 18-year-old boy, he was called up to the front in August 1942. Alexander Petrovich shared his memories of that terrible War with us: “After completing the training courses, we were sent to Stalingrad, our train was traveling in the Salsk steppes, we had horse artillery with us. At this time, we were hit by a barrage of fire from Romanian and German planes, during the bombing we jumped to the ground, had to retreat crawling on our backs, while we were driving half of the people lost. At the front, I had the opportunity to command an intelligence Department. I always had 5 people. Tested and non-smokers (one of the most important characteristics, because the smell of tobacco can give away). The main task was to create a "language". - Heavy fighting was going on for the city of Melitopol,” - says Alexander Petrovich. - the Division that was supposed to oust the Germans, was already defeated. Therefore, a new detachment was formed from the battalions, which included me. We were commanded by senior political officer Maria Batrakova. She fought on an equal footing with men, was distinguished by courage and bravery, not for nothing was she awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union. Many soldiers were killed while crossing the Molochnaya river. For the heroic liberation of the city of Melitopol from the Nazi invaders, Alexander Petrovich Kurnashev received a letter of gratitude from Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin. -There was another case where I had to risk my life, - says A. P. Karnachev. - During the battle, the cable was interrupted by a shell. It was necessary to restore it. The commander had sent four men, but not one of them had returned from the mission, and the cable was still broken. It was my turn. I asked the commander for binoculars to study the area and see where the guys who were killed are lying. Nearby, I noticed a path trampled by cows. So I decided to crawl along it, putting on my duffel bag. The commander was still surprised: why did I need it - only to carry an extra load on myself. But I was careful, the German sniper hit the duffel bag. All I could hear was the sound of bullets hitting the pot. I found the gap, connected the wires. When I returned, I took off my duffel bag, but it was like a sieve: the loaf was crumbled, the greatcoat was shot through. And I'm happy, I completed the task! We shot down this sniper with machine guns. For this, the commander wanted to introduce me to the order of the red banner of Battle, but during the next bombing, all the documents were lost. - I had to take prisoners, - says the veteran. – The battle for the Donbas was given to hard. Many of the enemies preferred to surrender after the encirclement, one moment I remember for the rest of my life, after the battle 7 enemy soldiers surrendered, among the prisoners were Bandera and Vlasovtsy who asked that they be left alive. I wrote them a note to the headquarters that they surrendered without a fight, voluntarily, with a request to take more lenient measures against them. Then I sent them to the headquarters, which they went to on their own. And sometimes you'd crawl so close to German that you could hear them talking, and throw them a grenade. Alexander Petrovich also remembered the fierce battles for the Dnieper river, and our interlocutor also kindly shares his memories of them with us. -During the crossing of our troops across the Dnieper, I covered the attackers with a machine gun. A shell smashed my Maxim machine gun, and I was buried in the ground. And if it weren't for my fellow countryman-Alexander Kalishnikov from Novoselok, I would have remained under the rubble. I had a severe concussion, I had to go to the hospital, but the foreman did not let me go – he left me as an assistant, so instead of the hospital, I helped the foreman feed the soldiers for a month and a half. In 1944, my friend and I entered the Tbilisi infantry school, where we were trained for the war with Japan. Once we decided to play to pass the day: I took a balalaika, the Lieutenant-a mandolin, and Alexander Kalishnikov sang along. The distance from us to the Germans was about three hundred meters. Rank: Red Army soldier. Branch of service: army, air force (except marine aviation), the coast guard, NKVD border troops. Division: 284th rifle division (1st formation). Vladlen Egorovich Kvashnin is a Hero of War. My great-grandfather id a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, infantryman, knight of the order of Glory of the III degree, of the order of the Red Star, of the order of the Patriotic War of II degree, order of Patriotic War of the I degree. Despite all the difficulties and hardships that had to be endured during the war of 1941-1945, great-grandfather considers himself a happy person. He had to fight four times as part of the 284-79 guards’ order-bearing Zaporozhye division, which being part of the 62-8 guards’ army of V. I. Chuikov, fought its way from Stalingrad to Berlin. The division was formed in Tomsk in 1941 from Komsomol members and the youth of Tomsk, Novosibirsk, Kemerovo regions, and the Altai territory. After its formation, it left for the Bryansk frontline. After intense combat at Kostornaya station, the division was withdrawn to Krasnoufimsk for reformation. Here, the sailors of the Pacific fleet joined the division. In September 1942, the division recaptured Mamayev Kurgan from the Nazis and defended this important mount until the end of the battle of Stalingrad. My great-grandfather recalls: "The view of the city on this night has been ingrained into my memory for a lifetime. The entire wide channel of the Volga river was engulfed in bright flames: oil, diesel fuel, and gasoline, which seeped from the oil storage as a result of bombing and shelling, was burning. The signalmen and part of the sapper battalion were the first to cross. The rest of the units followed, under heavy artillery and mortar fire. Immediately, we entered the battle for the Red October Factory, captured by the Germans. Then the division received Chuikov's order to storm Mamaev Kurgan, which in the operational maps was called height 102 and was important in the battles for Stalingrad. The enemy placed its air guidance stations, artillery and mortar observation posts on Mamayev Kurgan and, from this height, adjusted their fire. The slightest movement of our troops was immediately suppressed by fire. The enemy was attacking incessantly, but the Siberians were as immovable as a mountain. Stalin's order No. 227 - "Not a step back!" - was executed. The battle of Stalingrad ended. For another month, the division where my great-grandfather served stayed on its line. After the battle of Stalingrad, the division became known as the 79th guards’ Red Banner, after a short break and reinforcement, on June 19, 1943, it made an offensive. On September 13, 1943, the division liberated the city of Zaporozhye, for which it received the honorary name "Zaporozhye". Vladlen Yegorovich also participated in the battle of Kursk, liberated Ukraine, Moldova, Romania, and Bulgaria. After the war, he worked as a foreman of a field team, developing virgin lands. He does a lot of work on the military and patriotic education of young people, often visits schoolchildren.
