Skuridin Ivan Vasilyevich_x000D_ Skuridin Ivan Vasilyevich was born on July 4, 1922 in the Altai region, Biysk area, in the village of Novaya Chemrovka. In July 1941, he was drafted into the Red Army. As a cadet of Kemerovo military school in the end of November 1941 Sergeant Skuridin took part in defensive battles near Moscow in the suburbs of Dmitrov and Yakhroma. On December 5, 1941 he was wounded. After recovering in the end of January 1942 he was sent to Ryazan military school named after Voroshilov. In August 1942, he finished his training and, as a Lieutenant, fought at the Volkhov front, where for a long time during the defense of Novgorod he was a commander of intelligence. During the offensive battles in January 1944, during the liberation of Leningrad land and lifting of the Leningrad siege, he was the commander of a regimental reconnaissance of one of the rifle regiments of the 378th rifle division, in March 1944 - the commander of amachine gunners company during the offense at Narva. As part of his division, he continued to participate in liberation of Belarus, where in one of the battles in July 1944 he was wounded again. After recovering in the end of August 1944 he returned to his regiment as chief of staff of the rifle battalion. As part of the 1256 rifle regiment of his division, which later became the 90th guards Vitebsk-Novgorod twice red banner rifle division, he participated in the liberation of Lithuania, Latvia, Poland and ended the war in Germany at the Baltic sea coast in the seaport of Svinemunde. In 1946, guard senior Lieutenant Skuridin retired to the reserve and returned to his Homeland.
