She defended the city from enemy air raids. She finished her service on May 9, 1945 with the rank of Private First Class. Born in 1913 in Varenikovskaya village, Krymsky District, Krasnodar Territory. He was drafted to the front in the first days of the war by the Varenikovsky regional military commissariat. He served in the 716th Rifle Regiment of the 157th Rifle Division with the rank of Second lieutenant. He died lile a hero on the Southern Front, defending the Crimea, on October 19, 1941. The burial place has not been found.

Belovolov Mikhail Maksimovich. Born in 1905 in Bolshaya Dzhalga village, Ipatovsky District. He died in February 1991. He was a tanker. He began to serve as a private and rose to the rank of sergeant first class. Main battles: The Battle of Stalingrad, the Battle of Prokhorovskaya on the Kursk Bulge. He ended the war in Austria, when the surrender of Germany was declared. He was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War.

Korotkov Ivan Ivanovich, my grandfather. Private. Born in 1916, died in 1964. Was drafted into service in 1939. Participated in battles on the Southwestern Front (1941), North Caucasian Front (1943), 4th Ukrainian Front (1944), 3rd Ukrainian Front (1944), Karelian Front (1944), 2nd Ukrainian Front (1945 year). In the battles on the Mius River he was seriously wounded three times. He was awarded of the medal "For Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945", the medal "For Courage", "For Military Merit", the medal "For the capture of Budapest."
