Vadyukhin Pyotr Yakovlevich

Vadyukhin Pyotr Yakovlevich_x000D_ _x000D_ Title: Senior Sergeant military Branch: Artillery Ivan Porfiryevich Vorobyov was born in a peasant family in d. Maksimava Shuya district of the Vladimir province (now the village does not exist). In 1931, he graduated from six classes. In 1932, he joined the collective farm "Borets". Called up for service in the army on November 17, 1937. While on duty, he participated in the physical culture parade on red square in 1940. I remembered how during the preparation for the parade, participants were heavily fed carrots, forced to sunbathe so that their skin had a healthy tanned appearance. In May 1941, he was discharged from the service. And in June 1941, he was mobilized due to the beginning of the war. He served in the great Patriotic war as an assistant platoon commander in the 524th heavy gun artillery regiment (until January 1942), then as a platoon commander (until 1946) in the 37th guards gun artillery regiment. At the end of the great Patriotic war, he was transferred to continue his service in the Far East but did not participate in combat operations. Retired on May 13, 1946. In the military ticket, the post-war entry "Rank-guard senior Sergeant". He ended the war in Vienna. He remembered how impressed he was by the city's architecture; how Russian soldiers, trapped in wine cellars with large barrels, shot at the barrels with a machine gun and caught the trickles of splashing wine with their mouths. Awarded the order of the Red Star, medals "for bravery" (1944), "for the defence of Moscow" (1946), "for the capture of Vienna" (1946), "for the victory over Germany" (1946), jubilee medals.
