Full name: LAST name: Pesterev FIRST name: Pavel PATRONYMIC: Yemelyanovich CITY: Buryatia, Kabansky district, Romanovo village date of BIRTH: 04.01.1911 DATE of DEATH: 26.10.1942 HISTORY: Title: Red army soldier. I want to tell you about my grandfather Pavel Pesterev. From the memoirs of his daughter (my mother) Pestereva (Borodina) Antonina Pavlovna: My father, Pavel Pesterev, was called up to the front in June 1941, I remember how our mothers cried loudly when they saw our fathers off to war, they left with their duffel bags on their shoulders, and we barefoot children sat on logs and laughed, not understanding what was happening, why our mothers were crying, that many of our village would not return home. We got three front - line triangles from dad-letters and that's it. My mother sent packages and letters to my father, but they returned after a few months without finding their destination. My mother cried when she looked at the green contents of the packages, and I cried with her, feeling something bad. In 1947, we received a notification that dad had gone missing in October 1942. We sent requests, but there was no result. My mother believed that my father would return, waited for him all the time, and died with this hope that he was alive. And in 1990, after the death of my mother, I again wrote a letter to the Central Order of the red Star Archive of the Ministry of defense of the USSR. The response came on February 28, 1991, where it was reported that private 1786sp Pesterev Pavel Yemelyanovich, while on the front of the great Patriotic war, died of wounds in German captivity on 26.10.1942, Boholt concentration camp in Germany and was buried in a common grave. In his native village of Romanovo, Kabansky district of Buryatia, there is an obelisk for all the villagers who died during the war, and my father's name is also there. My mother Pesterova (Borodina) Antonina Pavlovna is now 80 years old. At her request, I am now writing this letter to perpetuate the memory of our grandfather Pavel Pesterev In the "Immortal regiment of Russia".
