Polovyanov Ivan Mikhailovich
Full name: SURNAME: Polovyanov FIRST name: Ivan PATRONYMIC: Mikhailovich CITY: - date of BIRTH: 01.01.1910 DATE of DEATH: - HISTORY: I am very grateful to the creators of this site, because it allowed me to learn more about my great-grandfather. I often asked myself why I had such a love for horses. When I grew up, I started asking my grandmother and father. It was from them that I learned about my great-grandfather-a brave cavalryman, and the desire to tell more about him made me dig a lot on the Internet, find out the details of his military path. Rank: senior Lieutenant. Type of service: - ground forces, - air force (except naval aviation), - the coast guard, troops of the NKVD, - the border guards. Division: 3rd guards cavalry Kuban-Mozyr red banner order of Suvorov division. My grandfather was a man of few words, not very fond of talking about the war. From the stories of my grandmother, what I was able to "dig up" on the Internet, there was such a story: my great-grandfather was Drafted into the army in 1932, he was a participant in the Finnish war. He was called up for the Great Patriotic war from the first day, that is, on 22.06.1941. He was seriously wounded in September 1942, recovered and returned to the front, in December 1942 he was wounded in the right hand, in August 1943 in the left hand. In July 29, 1944, he was seriously wounded and sent to the hospital. At the end of treatment for a set of injuries, he was demobilized. The part lost information about him. My great-grandfather probably did not like to talk about the war, because he was offended that after going through harsh battles and trials, he did not manage to meet the victory in Berlin. My great-grandfather received the order of the "red Star" for heroism and courage in battle, raising the soldiers of his platoon by personal example, he personally destroyed 5 Germans and took 2 prisoners. I am very proud of my great-grandfather!
