In June 1941, he went to the front. I was 5 years old then. Our family did not have time to evacuate, we lived under Nazi occupation. We had never received any news from our father, we did not know whether he was alive. _x000D_ We received a missing in action notice after the end of the war. _x000D_ It was only many years later that we learned from the military archives that my father was killed in the Rzhev-Sychevsk combat, in the Smolensk region, Karmanovsky district, near the village of Vorobino on August 11, 1942. _x000D_ Unfortunately, no details are known to this day. I am already 80 years old, I live in Moscow, a poet, I wrote 10 books, each of which contains many poems dedicated to the war and my father. These poems are set to music and performed by children in music schools.
