Varvara Arsentievna Fedorova. The photograph was taken in Shakhty city, 1944, Kirov Lane (on the left, wearing a black scarf). Three of her sons—Ananiy, Azariy, and Veniamin—were killed at the front lines. Her daughter Ekaterina and grandson Gennady were deported to Germany during the occupation of Shakhty but returned home after the war.
