Image: Continuing a successful offensive in Belarus, our troops completed in June the defeat of the central group of Germans near Minsk, the encirclement and destruction of 30 German divisions, where the regiment took an active part in combat, after which from 8.VIII to 13.VIII 1944. the regiment fought stubborn battles on the Bobyor River for the city and the Osovets fortress. On August 13, our troops seized the city and the Osovets fortress by storm. For military distinctions, for exemplary fulfillment of command assignments in the struggle against the German invaders, for taking possession of the city and fortress Osovets and for the valor and courage shown at the same time, the regiment received a thanks of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief and was awarded the Order of Alexander Nevsky.

For courage and valour he was awarded the Order of the Red Banner and the Order of the Patriotic War. The death of the brave died in an offensive battle in the Lipyanka region; 11 km south of Ostrolenok. On September 6, 1944, the regiment personnel took leave of their comrade in three volleys from 24 guns at the German invaders.
