Korovin Ivan Ivanovich

Ivan Ivanovich Korovin was born on March 4, 1915 in Athemar village of Mordovian ASSR. In October 1938 he was drafted into the army by the Saransk GVK of Mordovia ASSR. Immediately after the army, he got to the front. He took part in the battles near Bobruisk and at the "Kursk Bulge". In August 1943, he had a head wound, and on 26.11.1944 he received a tangential wound in the knee area. He was awarded the Order of the Red Star by Order No.146/H of 15.08.1944, the Order of Glory of the III degree, and Order 158/N of 28.09.1944. "For the Defence of Moscow", Order No. 146/H of August 15, 1944, Order 158/N of September 28, 1944. In the award list to the order of the commander of 102 rifle division No 146/N of 15.08.1944 according to which I.I.Korovin was awarded the Order of the Red Star, it is written: "Sn. Sgt. Ivan Ivanovich Korovin, secretary of the Komsomol organization of the company 40 of the Amur rifle regiment, in the Patriotic War since 11.1941, was wounded on 19.07.1943". Feat: "Comrade Korovin working as a partner in the rifle company in preparation for the offensive conducted explanatory work among the personnel on the upcoming tasks to cleanse Soviet Belarus of the German invaders. During the offensive fights, Comrade Korovin was the first to rise to the attack and lead the rest of the fighters, breaking into the enemy's trenches with a group of fighters captured 3 German soldiers. In the award sheet to the order of the commander of 102 rifle division №158/N of 28.09.1944, according to which Korovin I.I. was awarded the Order of Glory III degree, it is written: "Staff Sergeant Korovin Ivan Ivanovich, 1915, Sniper of 40 rifle regiment, was wounded on 30.08.1943. Feat: "In the offensive battles against the German invaders, Comrade Korovin proved himself as a brave, courageous and determined soldier. Working as a sniper, Comrade Korovin, while carrying out a subdivision of the offensive operation, secretly making his way to the combat crews of the German defense with the fire of his sniper rifle shot down a German corrector who had a large view of our terrain and controlled the approaches to his defense, one officer and destroyed the calculation of the German machine gun, which did not allow to approach the German defense. By the Order to the 48th Army No.024/svn of 16.07.1943 he was awarded the badge "excellent signalman". As well as was awarded the medal "For the victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945", the medal "For the capture of Koenigsberg. He saw the end of the war in Koenigsberg. He was demobilized on 13.11.1945 by order 0340.
