Ilyukhin Terenty Grigorievich

Rank: Colonel. Branch of the service: Ground Forces, Air Force (except naval aviation), coastal service, NKVD troops, border troops. Colonel Ilyukhin Terenty Grigorievich (04/21/1905 - 03/04/1985) This material is dedicated to the blessed memory of our heroic grandfather - a courageous defender of the fatherland, a famous border guard, a wise, reliable, fair, highly educated person, a person with a capital letter. Born in the village of Ryaba, Oryol region. At the age of 18 he was drafted into the army, served in the Kremlin regiment in the guard service. Later he graduated from the Border School and was assigned to the border detachment in the Far East. In 1945 he took part in the war with Japan. After the end of the war, he was sent to Sakhalin Island for further service. Later he graduated from advanced training courses for the leadership of the Political staff at the VP of the Ministry of State Security of the USSR. After completing the course for further service he was sent to Lithuania, Klaipeda. After Klaipeda - to the Turkmen border district as the secretary of the district party organization. In 1961 he retired with the rank of colonel. For services to the Fatherland, Ilyukhin Terenty Grigorievich was awarded: the highest award - the Order of Lenin, the Order of the Red Star, the Order for Victory over Japan, many medals. Our grandmother, Ilyukhina Maria Iosifovna, was his faithful and militant friend all her life, she shared all the hardships of serving as a border guard officer at distant outposts with her husband and children. They raised three children - Ilyukhin's son Viktor Terentyevich, Ilyukhin's son Vladimir Terentyevich and a daughter, Shchur (Ilyukhina) Lilia Terentyevna. Now the younger generation is growing up in our family - granddaughters Elena, Ekaterina, Alla, great-granddaughters Eugene and Anna, great-grandchildren Maxim and Nikita. We, adults, often tell them about our heroic grandfather and grandmother. We know that the memory of them will live in our hearts.
